A new study[pdf] from the Global Development and Environment Institute at Tufts University reckons climate change is going to cost us $20 trillion per year if we nothing to stop it. That’s some crazy numbers! Of course the craziest thing is people who say we don’t really know exactly what is going to happen and use that as an excuse to do nothing. I don’t think there is any way to argue that pumping CO2 into the atmosphere at an alarming rate is going to be a good thing!
By the way, the Al Gore tickets ran out in 10 minutes (yes I missed out), but keep an eye on VicSuper as they say they may be streaming the talk from Hamer Hall live to the internet.
