Corporations oppose new Chinese labour laws

Eldis reports on recent moves by the Chinese government to enforce some sort of minimal labour law being opposed by US corporations. This really undermines the whole “liberate them through the market” line that imagines sweatshops and big business helping to free workers from poverty and oppression. When profit is king the people suffer.
