Travelling by air is one of the most ecologically unsound travel methods. Not only do planes create a whole lot of bad emissions, but they are also really high up, which compounds the problem. Sites like Climate Friendly let you offset the environmental impact of your plane travel by funding green energy projects. While offsetting isn’t a long-term or perfect solution by any means, it is something you can do now to help things out. Also, it’ll add a couple hundred to your trip - hopefully making us think twice before hopping on that plane.
