There’s an interesting debate underway at Opinio Juris over the role of the UN in the human rights abuses of “Blue Helmets” - peacekeepers. There has been a controversy recently over Blue Helmets been involved in sexual abuse, mineral smuggling and other bad things, but it seems peacekeepers have relative impunity under international law.
