Justice and Peace in Sudan

The IWPR reports on the ICC and Sudan and the lack of ‘justice talk’ by governments. There’s a new deployment of UN/AU troops on the way and all the big players have not said much about the outstanding ICC arrest warrants. The article criticises the silence, arguing that peace shouldn’t trump justice - but I’m not so sure the situation is so simple. Sometimes peace needs to be pursued before justice can be properly realised.
