Julian Ku’s recent post on Opinio Juris on Mitt Romney’s calls to “indict” Ahmadinejad is an interesting introduction to the intricacies of international prosecution for war crimes/genocide/anything. I’m always amazed at the complexity of international law and the numerous problems of trying to give ‘justice’ a real chance on the international stage (see for example, the difficulties in transferring genocide cases to national jurisdictions). International humanitarian law has me very intrigued.
