Desalination technology is getting better

Reverse osmosis technology is getting better. Currently desalination accounts for 0.5% of world water use and requires a crazy amount of energy to make it happen. Even if the energy problem is solved, there’s still the problem of the brine discharge. No matter what we do, water will be getting more expensive.
